The Centre has filed fresh affidavit on Sethusamudram project in the Supreme Court. The affidavit seeks vacation of apex court’s interim orders of August 31, 2007 and September 14. The Centre says state policy cannot be decided on the basis of any faith. And whether the Ram Sethu was constructed by Ram or not, it cannot be determined by scientific methods.
Cong is hesitant, any leeway on the issue will give BJP an edge.
