Aaja Nachle was this week’s biggest movie release, but the publicity it is getting will not get its makers dancing. The Punjab government has banned the film and UP has allowed it screening under strict conditions. The latest chapter in the controversy is the National Commission for Scheduled Castes summoning people associated with the “objectionable” lyrics in its title song. The matter came up in Parliament too with an MP demanding a ban on the film.
Aaja Nachle had been cleared by the Censor Board without any objections.
