What men want: GQ magazine hits Indian stands

Mumbai: One of the world's leading men's magazines GQ is finally here in India. Mumbai witnessed the launch of the magazine in style. And all the celebs of not just tinsel town but also the cricket pitch showed up in full attendance.

While all had a gala time, celebrities gave their views about the men’s magazine’s arrival in India.

"I don't think men should take fashion too seriously, I think you should just have fun with it," said actor Rahul Khanna.

"Every magazine seems to be having women on their cover. I think this should be a magazine with men on their cover. So for all you women their should be men on their cover," was the message given by designer Manish Malhotra.

While Manish wanted a man on cover of the magazine, actor Upen Patel expressed his happiness about the magazine's arrival in India.

"I think its fantastic that there's a magazine for men in India now. I'm a big fan of GQ," said Upen.

Model Malaika Arora Khan thought the magazine would provide Indian men with much needed fashion education as she said, "I don't think men have a good knowledge of fashion, women buy and large are wonderful at it. So this magazine should styling up men."

The first issue of GQ showcases none other than actors Arjun Rampal, Saif Ali Khan and cricketer Yuvaj Singh.

"GQ's a great international magazine. There's so much we get to see in it, from the latest fashion to the latest gadgets. I'm sure it's going to rock in India," said Yuvraj.

Everyone at the vent was busy singing praises for GQ and it's arrival in India including Arjun and his wife, former model Mehr Rampal.

"I've always bought a GQ even when it wasn't even available in India. The magazine is great because it's a guys magazine and it's got information on gadgets, fashion and just stuff we like to do," said Arjun.

"I think the magazine has one of Arjun's best pictures. For quite sometime GQ needs to have Arjun Rampal on the cover," said Mehr.

The magazine seemed to have got a thumbs up from all at the stylish event. Looks Indian men were much in need of GQ.
