Global financial crisis causes national stress

The global financial crisis is wiping out the investments and savings of people and even people unaffected by it are feeling the stress. Doctors at VIMHANS in Delhi say they have recorded a three-fold increase in young executives suffering from stress in the last three weeks "We see an emerging sense of uncertainty, helplessness and a degree of anxiety," says Dr Jitender Nagpal, a psychiatrist at Vimhans.

Delhi bitten by the dengue bug, alarm bells ringing

Delhi and in fact the entire National Capital Region (NCR) seems to be in the grips of Dengue. The situation continues to be grim as this year Delhi has recorded the highest number of dengue cases in the last three years. Delhi has recorded 109 dengue cases so far, including one death.
