UPA Government has indicated that prices of petrol and LPG might be cut in December after the state Assembly elections get over. Petroleum Minister Murli Deora has already written to Congress President Sonia Gandhi saying petrol prices can be cut by Rs 5 and domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 20. However, BJP says the move is aimed to woo voters and has gone to the EC citing violation of the model code of conduct.
