The Indian automobile industry, already witnessing a slowdown in demand in the wake of rising interest rates, could face another blow with floods in many parts of the country likely to have an impact on sales.
Nine of the 11 carmakers saw sales going up in the auspicious 'Navratra' period that began on September 23.
