In another case of honour-killing, a man in Vadodara murdered his daughter for marrying against the wishes of the family. Nineteen-year-old Vandana was allegedly shot by her own father – ex-armyman Jayvirsingh Bhadodiya – and later struck on the head with an axe. Vandana was killed because she married her lover Mayur Marathe in December, against the wishes of her family.
Pappu Kasuwa, Major Nitin and Kaptan Singh were directly involved.
