Tanuja Chandra's first English film, Hope and a Little Sugar was screened at London's prestigious BAFTA over the weekend. The film garnered rave reviews at New York's South Asian Film Festival. Set against the backdrop of 9/11 in New York, the film is about a young Sikh widow who shares a close friendship with a Muslim photographer much to the disapproval of her father-in-law.
The second South Asian Film Festival is not just about screening films.
