A first one of its kind, a giant panda born and brought up in Japan has given birth to twin cubs. The 8-year-old giant panda Rauhin gave birth to the cubs on camera at a zoo in Shirahama city in Western Japan. The mother and kids are doing fine; the zoo will closely monitor their mental and physical health before introducing them to the public. This is the first case in Japan that a Japanese-born panda has successfully given birth through natural cross-breeding.
