Governor Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje administered the oath of office and secrecy to Dhumal, who became the 16th Chief Minister of the state, at the Ridge Maidan. The 63-year-old Dhumal is a three-time MLA and had been Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh from 1998 to 2003.
Dhumal will also be sworn in as CM of Himachal Pradesh for the second time.
