India starts Operation Sahayata to help Myanmar

But the UN is still complaining about the Myanmar government's refusal to allow in more aid from other countries including the US. Relief from India is being welcomed though. The Indian Air Force has airlifted over 40 tons of essential supplies to Yangon. Two IAF AN-32 aircraft and one IL-76 aircraft have taken medicines, tents and other essential supplies to Myanmar from New Delhi on Thursday. Food, medicines, clothing and tents have been flown in under an operation code named Sahayata.
