Vandana had fallen into the 45-feet deep borewell on Tuesday evening while playing with her father. A huge pit on a flat ground was dug parallel to the borewell with the help of dredgers to enable rescue personnel go down and then carve a tunnel in a bid to reach the girl and bring her out. The Army was called in after efforts by the locals to rescue the girl failed.
Army personnel and rescue workers are racing against time to save Vandana.
