The 68-year-old actress, who has been nominated for Best Actress Academy Award for the film Away From her, said that though the red carpet has always been obsessed with youth and beauty, respect for the older people and their wisdom is missing from modern day celeb events.
She won her first Oscar for her role in Doctor Zhivago more than four decades ago.
