Karnataka politics has dipped to a new low with the BJP and the Congress sparring over celebrations at the Baba Budangiri Shrine — a place that is also known the Ayodhya of the South. BJP MLA, Chikamagalur, C T Ravi led a BJP-VHP delegation to the Raj Bhavan seeking to carry on with Datta Jayanti celebrations on December 22.
VHP and Bajrang Dal have abandoned plans for a puja at the Baba Budangiri shrine in Chikamagalur.
