Naba, a five-year-old Iraqi girl, has recently undergone a limb lengthening surgery in Chennai. Standing at 84 cm or 2 feet 7 inches, she was diagnosed with achondroplasia, a genetic disorder that causes dwarfness. Doctors in Iraq told her parents that Naba would grow no taller than 3 feet 8 inches. And that is when they turned to Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital for the surgery.
