Controversial Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen doesn’t want to go to Paris to accept the prestigious Simone de Beauvoir Award. Taslima was given the invitation at the behest of the visiting French President, Nicholas Sarkozy, after Indian authorities refused a French proposal to confer the honour on the author in India during Sarkozy's visit. The Prix Simon de Beauvoir is considered one of the best awards for feminist writing the world over.
France named Taslima as the winner of Simone de Beauvoir Award on Jan 9.
